This Week in Freebies: Greetings from Baltimore

It’s been a while since I posted here, but I do have a good reason for my delinquency. I recently packed up and moved from my old home in San Francisco across the country to Baltimore. For those of you not stateside, Baltimore is on the East Coast just north of Washington, D.C. (I'm actually originally from that area). I’m getting acclimated to what my new city has to offer and I hope there is a bit of drum and bass in my future. The last time I was out here for a show was Starscape 2010, so my hopes are high. I know you all are from around the world, but drop me a line if you’re in vicinity of my new home so you can help me explore. In the meantime, I’d like to get back down to business and my customary top three of the week to make up for my long break.
Friction – Photon
This week Friction want back in time to share a tune released back in 1998 on Trouble and Vinyl. Perhaps this was a way to get back to his roots, especially after all the Facebook hatred spewed in response to his recent foray into dubstep…Regardless, this is a nice little tune you should grab from his Facebook page.
Brookes Brothers – Lonely Hearts Club
Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day made another appearance this year. Brookes Brothers got into the sharing mood and decided to give away an unreleased tune from a few years back call Lonely Hearts Club, which you can grab here. I can’t say this was what I was expecting, but you should check it out nonetheless.
Moby – Porcelain (Atlantic Connection Remix)
Most of us probably remember Porcelain from Moby’s 2000 album “Play.” Atlantic Connection decided to give it a new treatment and I’m digging this version quite a bit. Give it a listen though to see if you agree.
